A 43-year-old Kaplan man has been arrested on multiple drug and firearm charges after investigators searched a home on West Second Street, KLFY reported Thursday, citing police.
Police said they received multiple complaints of suspected drug activity at the residence. Investigators conducted surveillance and covert operations before getting a search warrant for the home, according to the report.
During the search, agents seized about 308 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 171 grams of marijuana, 40 grams of synthetic marijuana and 17 Suboxone strips, KLFY reported. They also recovered 170 cyclobenzaprine tablets, 11 clonazepam tablets, half of a Xanax tablet, 11 Adderall tablets, drug paraphernalia and two firearms.
Authorities estimated the street value of the suspected narcotics at $68,055. No bond had been set at the time of the release, and the investigation remains ongoing, according to the report.
Charges are accusations, not convictions, and everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. The Times does not name people arrested unless the arresting agency has released the name and charges directly; KLFY’s report did not identify the agency.
